Straight answers

Common questions.

The things directors check before trusting a records tool with their company paperwork. Billing questions live on Pricing.

What is LtdRecord?

LtdRecord is an online record-keeping tool for UK limited companies. It turns everyday company actions — payments, reimbursements, dividends, director loans — into structured, signed record packs, numbered and filed in one place.

Does my limited company really need records like these?

Yes. UK company law requires every limited company to keep adequate records of its decisions and transactions — including dividend paperwork, director-loan records and board minutes — and to retain them for at least six years. LtdRecord produces and files that paperwork as you go.

Is LtdRecord a substitute for an accountant?

No. Every pack is a draft based on the information you provide, written for you and your accountant to review. LtdRecord does not give legal, tax, accounting or company secretarial advice, and does not file accounts or tax returns.

Who is behind LtdRecord?

LtdRecord is built and operated by 9S Labs Limited, a company registered in England & Wales (company no. 17296207). You can reach the team at info@9s-labs.com.

How is my data protected?

Your data is handled under UK GDPR. All traffic is encrypted in transit, and every signed PDF and evidence file is stored encrypted with a key unique to your company — deleting your company destroys that key. The site uses one essential cookie — your sign-in session — with no advertising or cross-site tracking, and your records are exportable as PDF or ZIP at any time. Read more about security.
